"Tell It To My Heart" song received a Grammy nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, but lost to "Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman. The song appeared in the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 the week of 14 November 1987 and was on the Hot 100 for 26 weeks.
This was released as a 12" single that was an instant hit, thanks to its massive popularity in dance clubs. That 12-inch sold 900,000 copies alone.
