"Take Me To Your Heart" written and produced by Stock Aitken Waterman was a success on the UK Singles Chart where it peaked at number 8 and charted for eleven weeks. Unlike most of Astley's previous singles, it was never released in the U.S.
After leaving school at sixteen, Astley was employed during the day as a driver in his father's market-gardening business and played drums on the Northern club circuit at night in bands such as Give Way and FBI, which won several local talent competitions.
